When I created the community, it wasn't for the purpose of community, it was to document the journey and the research I was doing around non-traditional colleges.
Little did I know that it would organically attract a small community, and I received many who expressed appreciation for the information.
It got me thinking: the need for the community in the first place was mostly because of degree inflation and a desperation; so playing even a small part in helping people out validated what I needed to focus on doing.
